Biography
Angela, a University of Glasgow PhD graduate in Mathematics, returned to Ghana and now serves as the Academic Manager and for the Masters in Mathematical Sciences for Teachers at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences Ghana, an online program for African High School Teachers. She also manages Girls in Mathematical Program, a nine month mentoring initiative for mathematically talented high school girls.
Through her nonprofit Femafricmaths, Angela promotes African women in mathematics, inspiring the next generation to pursue STEM careers. Her in person outreach activities demystifying mathematics and mentoring girls have reached over 2,000 high school students.
Angela, an award winning science communicator, won the Big Internet Math Off Competition in 2024 and was named the World's Most Interesting Mathematician.

Current security systems rely on the complexity of prime numbers for protection, but quantum computers will soon decipher them instantly. At AIMS Ghana, Angela researches quantum algebra and guides young Africans to drive innovation in the quantum revolution.
